FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
for Jane Angelich, Founder

What is the difference between a business coach and a consultant? A consultant is recognized as being an expert in a given field or discipline. A business coach relies upon their client’s expertise in a given industry or business and functions as a resource center rather than an expert. All coaches are consultants but not all consultants are coaches.

How does the individual business coaching process work? Coaching typically begins with a personal interview, either face to face or by telephone, to assess the individual’s current opportunities and challenges, define the scope of the relationship, identify priorities for action and establish specific desired outcomes.

How long have you been a business coach? I have been a coach for over 25 years.

What type of clients have you worked with? I have worked with business owners, solo practitioners, independent entrepreneurs, executives, managers, and professionals.

What is your coaching style? My style is results-oriented and pragmatic. I am honest, objective, and straightforward. My clients require assistance with specific issues and/or with long-term plans, or they need a sounding board to ensure the validity of current performance. They accept feedback well, are willing to change behavior, and/or think about issues in a new context.

I will provide you with customized support, and never a "one-size fits all" plan. My work is absolutely confidential and often requires fast response with options for action. My clients describe me as a skilled problem solver, a generator of ideas, and a logical motivator. I am able to decipher what you mean or need when you may not be able to clearly articulate it. By catching these subtleties, I will be able to help you find out what may be impeding your progress and move you forward to success.

How will you approach my needs? My expertise combines Wall Street and Fortune 500 senior management responsibilities with years of founding, growing and selling my own businesses. By leveraging these experiences, I help my clients focus on reaching their goals more quickly than they would on their own.

The business owners who benefit the most from my services know that they want to make lasting changes in their lives, gain financial security, enjoy more freedom, and have more fun. They are willing to try new things, want innovative suggestions, empathetic support, and the accountability that hiring a business coach will bring them.

As your business coach, I will work with you to:

How long does coaching take? The duration of coaching varies depending on the individual’s personal needs and the frequency of our meetings. Typically, my clients work with me, in person, for 8 hours, spread over 2-3 months and then use the add-on phone feature following the in-person or group series. Many of my clients return annually for another series to stay on top of their success.

What work will I need to do between sessions? We will create a detailed game plan with specific completion dates, and formal, scheduled contact times to discuss accomplishments and any obstacles preventing short-term tasks from being completed.

What results can I expect? You can expect that the value we create together will far exceed the fees paid and the time invested.
